If the rezoning is approved, I wonder if I can get the zoning at my house changed so I can build a McDonalds?
All kidding aside, I know of no neighbors (with the exception of Stanhope Johnson, one of the developers) who are in favor of the zoning change.
If the entire block and almost all of the neighbors living on nearby streets (including Fountain Manor) are opposed, why would the City Council seriously consider the request?
If the answer to my question is it will increase the tax base, then I go back to my fecetious first inquiry. Can I build a fast food joint on my property next? It too would increase the tax base.
